The A4Tech G7630 is the best wireless mouse ever
I recently treated myself to an A4Tech G7630 wireless mouse and I an loving this baby.

The 2.4 GHz-800 dpi G7630 is the best wireless everrrrr!!!
Features:
- 15 metres ultra far (that’s pretty good.)
- 3 shiftable report rates! I can select the accuracy of the cursor control – among 2 ms, 4 ms, and 8 ms – according to my different tasks.
- Auto channel hopping! – no interference on the 2.4 GHz universal bands!
- Error correction through 2-way communication! This ensures precision.
- 8 programmable mouse gestures. This is brilliant. No more hard buttons! Mouse gestures FTW!
- The standard battery indicator is there. It is worth noting that the single AA battery will last for up to 4 months (if you turn it off when not using it.)
- It is uber comfortable. The non-slip exterior is very neat. I haven’t found such an exterior on a mouse before. I, for one, like it. Oh, the dimensions: 4L x 2.53W x 1.54H in.
Installation
- Pull out the nano receiver from the bottom of the mouse.
- Plug the nano receiver into the USB port of your laptop/computer. If your machine is running MS. Windows XP+, the drivers are already there.
- Insert a single AA battery into the mouse. (A4Tech provides a battery which is very thoughtful of them.)
- Press the power button on the mouse and you’re done!
- To activate mouse gestures and shiftable report rates, install the official driver and software – http://fadil.fr/mousedr.zip
Unlike other wireless pointing devices sold by the big names, A4Tech’s G7630 DOES NOT LAG at all. As soon as the mouse is turned on, the pointer is activated and works right away.

I don’t mind setting the report rate to 125 Hz.
Power is not an issue. The AA battery can last for months. The receiver does not eat up much power either. If you’re using a laptop, you will ‘lose’ like 30 minutes out of 9 hours.

Mouse gestures rock! The programmable gestures are a plus when playing WoW!
Increase the volume.
What if you need a new battery?

Once the battery dies, replace it with a cheap non rechargeable alkaline AA.
The drawbacks
- The nano receiver is very small. Do not lose it. If you do, buy another one and pair it with your mouse. The unique frequency is written at the bottom of the mouse.
- The nano receiver heats up a lot! Even so, it does not affect the performance of the mouse.
- You need a clean mouse pad. Note: The mouse works on most surfaces incl. women’s lingerie. LOL. However, to keep the mouse clean, use a mouse pad.
Price
The G7630 costs around £10 depending on which store you buy it from. It’s very cheap for such a good mouse.
The A4Tech G7630 rocks!

hehe nice.
lol, I have one of his ancestors at home, I even blogged about it long time ago. Its quite useful, but using it nowadays is pretty painful. The “mousepad” has absorbed air inside it and consequently the user has to press the air out to ensure that the surface is uniform (without air bubbles)
All that I can say : ENJOY your new mouse

This one didn’t come with a mouse pad. It works on most surfaces (glass remains the exception to the rule.)
(@yashvin – wi tou sa la lol. li extra bon. la plupart gamers servi sa depuis l’annee derniere.)
The coolest feature IMO – the mouse gestures. It saves a lot of time esp. when gaming. You don’t need to twist your fingers to press side buttons because there are none. Instead, do a particular motion to launch a particular event.
Do buy the new G7630 – there is no lag; it feels good; and it works brilliantly. It’s also very cheap.

NoAnyLag? Duh! Who thought of that…. :S
Anyway, does this one support the air gestures (built-in accelerometer) like the Logitech MX Air?
January 13, 2010 - 3:50 pm
Nope. No air gestures. It would be very silly to buy an expensive “air mouse” if you’ll use a 2D desktop/window manager. The next big thing is Natal (with the air mouse – probably.) Air mouse is not for this era. The best gaming mouse remains a wireless mouse with adjustable report rates & mouse gesture support.
