Update: According to Brizzly, one can have only 20 lists. It's still a high number.

Nope - because you can administer the stream + moderate new requests to join the channel. It's spam-free.

The Jaiku channels focus on content spread and not classification of users. This is what Twitter should have been like from the start.

Wait till you have 100+ lists and 1000+ followers/following.

The length of the lists will be as long as the public stream.

Categorising content - you return home and read whatever interests you. With Jaiku channels - you can have users who join a channel and who are not in your contact list.

Here's my situation...
During the day, I have to stay away from Twitter. When I get back home, how do I check my tweets archive!?
Sure, I could keep clicking more, more, more - until I finally give up (because it takes too much time for the page to load or I tire out).

But with Lists, I can categorise my following by content (Mru bloggers, tech, Blogger, web design). There is less information overload & I can multi-task the reading (& because I have less tweets, loading the page doesn't lag that much).
The result - I can keep up with everyone in my timeline! :)

Twitter Lists = EPOCH WIN

P.S. With Lists, I can follow tweeps without following them. ;)
