This blog entry feature my views on politics in my native island, Mauritius.
Top 10 reasons for voting L’alliance Sociale in 2010
1. If not elected, the party in power can claim that every problem is to be blamed by L’alliance Sociale who ‘screwed up’ while in power.
Who wants to hear this old rhetoric again?
2. We need to cure Polo’s amnesia by voting L’alliance Sociale.
LEXPRESS QUOTE
He has forgotten that Mauritians were already facing harsh times while he was in power (2000-2005.) Prices went up and Mauritians/’ti-dimounes’ were unhappy. Dear Polo, cut the crap! Had you been a good political leader, someone we look up to, you would have submitted a list of proposals to the Minister of Finance before the delivery of the budget. Pffr.. Note to the amnesiac: There is currently a global financial crisis.
3. Many dumb Mauritians listen and hallow radio hosts. We need to give the latter more material.
It is a fact that some radio stations in Mauritius air ideological radio programmes meant to ask dumb questions extracted from the crap idiots are allowed to say on air. Note: The so-called radio hosts are NOT reporters. They are after ratings and do not mind going against the Government. The radio hosts are also bad at their jobs for they often believe that asking questions in a forceful manner while allowing the interviewees to evade questions is a good thing. I can only give you, dear listeners, a tip of the hat for you stand as proof that idocracy exists.
4. The Honourable Xavier Luc Duval has an online presence while other politicians are being impersonated online.
You’ve got to give credit to the guy. Even Polo does not tweet. The Minister of Tourism does not mind replying to people on Facebook and so far, he has done very well. If you’re geeky/nerdy, it’s a plus.
5. Political Parties driven by religion should be PWNED.
FCM, Hizbullah, Partie de Dieu, Voice of Hindus, and all that crap are laughable. Come on! Enlightened Mauritians vote parties on the basis of political programmes and not religion.
6. And number 6 – It is always fun to mock ‘Partie Globe’ and ‘Partie Malin’ when they obtain less than less than a thousand votes. LOL.
Maybe you can find 100 reasons to vote another party but then again, the above are valid.
The thing is – Mauritians love to rant. It is our right to rant. It is also our duty to provide solutions to issues. How many of you talk/write to your regional legislative assembly member? Granted, some may ignore you -(E.g. the office of the current Minister of IT and Communications never granted me a rendez-vous. I assume that nobody there could provide answers to the list of questions I had asked them in writing.)
Is the Alliance Sociale perfect? Of course, not. We all know of the Gokool incident whereby the actions of his office and the Meteorological Services were crappy during the floods. RIP to all victims.
We all know of the fiasco of several institutions – many blame the actions of the appointed representatives. Obama
Here is the thing – WE ALL LEARN FROM MISTAKES. Whoever criticises should wonder the actions of the Government during a time of crisis should asks oneself- why did one not provide the solution earlier?
I would like to point out that anyone can buy an Aston Martin or any other vehicle in Mauritius. It is NOT a crime!
To be honest, I’d vote Lalliance Sociale on the basis of point number 1. I do not want to hear of the blame game. Do you?

La population a beaucoup souffert depuis 2006

Dear Polo, cut the crap! Had you been a good political leader, someone we look up to, you would have submitted a list of proposals to the Minister of Finance before the upcoming budget. Pffr..  Note to the amnesiacs out there: There is currently a global financial crisis.

3. Many dumb Mauritians listen to and hallow radio hosts. We need to give the latter more material.

It is a fact that some radio stations in Mauritius air ideological radio programmes. We need to fuel them with more material so that we can mock them.

Note: The so-called radio hosts are NOT reporters. They are after ratings and do not mind going against the Government. The radio hosts are also bad at their jobs for they often believe that asking questions in a forceful manner while allowing the interviewees to evade questions is a good thing.

4. The Honourable Xavier Luc Duval has an online presence while other politicians are being impersonated online.

You’ve got to give credit to the guy. Even Polo does not tweet. The Minister of Tourism does not mind replying to people on Facebook and so far, he has worked hard to flourish the tourism sector.

And number 6 – It is always fun to mock ‘Partie Globe’ and ‘Partie Malin’ when they obtain less than a thousand votes. LOL.

Maybe you can find 100 reasons to vote another party but then again, the above are valid. I look forward to reading your comments (incl. the ones from the outgroup.)

Mauritius also went through an Iranian period >> Facebook was blocked.

Here is the thing - WE ALL LEARN FROM MISTAKES. Whoever criticises should wonder the actions of the Government during a time of crisis should asks oneself- why did one not provide the solution earlier?

I would like to point out that anyone can buy an Aston Martin or any other vehicle in Mauritius. It is NOT a crime!

The Alliance Sociale is our best shot for a better future!

I’d vote L’alliance Sociale on the basis of point number 1. I do not want to hear of the blame games. Do you?
