I love the HTC HD2 [Leo]
If you happen to be one of my devoted followers on Twitter, then you must have read about my excitement about the Leo – HD2.

What can I say? I’m an HTC fanboy!
Check out the videos:
I already possess 2 beloved HTC smartphones – the Diamond Touch and the Blackstone aka the Touch HD. I use the Diamond as my primary phone because it’s very small, sleak and packs the power I need for daily mobile tasks – MMS/E-mail, browsing using Opera Mobile, listening to music, ‘youtubing,’ and accepting/receiving calls. It runs Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1.
I use my Touch HD primarily for accepting/receiving international calls, ‘skyping,’ browsing and word processing. Of course, thanks to the wonders of CorePlayer, I can watch movies and listen to music while on being on the move. The Touch HD is a fantastic platform for software development. .NET 3.5 Compact FTW! It runs an unnoficial but stable and preconfigured Windows Mobile 6.5 ROM. The handsome bastard can also sport Android (choosing the right ROM is a nightmare, though.)
Shall I buy the Leo?
- The HTC Leo (HD2) is the best smartphone. I never liked the Touch Pro 2, the Snap or the Hero. I crave for a Hero 2 sporting the same features as the HD2. Anyway, I am not buying the Leo (even though it’s packed with awesomeness) because:
- I do not want to hunt down for official Windows Mobile 7 updates. I have been burnt by HTC before – WM 6.5 should have been made available to the Touch HD. Instead, HTC screwed many Touch HD owners over. We all had to go for unnoficial ROMs.
- The Touch HD suits me and it’s more powerful, attractive, and ‘usable’ than the bloody iPhone. In your face, Apple Fanboys! The Touch HD is not passé, yet. The next gen. of Max4G, or the Leo 2 will sport more trendy features.
As far as the price goes, I do not care. HTC products are worth it. Do you know how Apple Macs are considered to be very superior to the widespread PCs? Well, HTC is the Apple Mac of smart phones. The iPhone is the cheap dumb phone used by many who do not know the meaning of true awesomeness. Thank you HTC for always being innovative!
P.S
Some of you may brag about Apple Stores and the huge amount of software available for the iPhone. *cough*That is a lie! Google for a list of WM apps. I’m pretty sure Wikipedia has a list. Do it yourself and bear the shame of being a liar! Plus, Microsoft will not screw developers over when it comes to licensing and distributing applications.
I have not mentioned of the Nokia or Samsung brand above because I am not a big fan of theirs.
