Veena, Michelle, Navin & Barack
This picture is very cool.

President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama pose for a photo during a reception at the Metropolitan Museum in New York with H.E. Dr. Navinchandra Ramgoolam, G.C.S.K. Prime Minister of the Republic of Mauritius, and his wife, Mrs. Veena Ramgoolam, Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009. (Official White House Photo by Lawrence Jackson | http://www.flickr.com/photos/statephotos/3950135228/
I like the fact that Mrs. Ramgoolam wears a traditional saree. Her arms and tummy indicate that she is chubby. Somehow, she reminds me of Sarah Brown. I hope she will join the Twitter community too. Mauritian nerds and geek would like that, IMO.
The US. First Lady, Michelle Obama, looks as radiant as our PM’s lady. Her pointy shoes rocks! It’s kinda funny that both ladies don’t wear hair clips.
The Honourable Doctor Navin Ramgoolam looks very classy while The US President, Barack Obama, looks like ‘a funny & cool dude.’ [ No offense intended] Our Prime Minister should loosen up.
I do not like the fact that our Prime Ministers wears a watch. In 2009, people flashing wrist watches are deemed as being outdated. He should be holding a netbook or a smart phone.
Check out the high-res. picture – http://www.flickr.com/photos/statephotos/3950135228/sizes/o/ – and compare The US President’s shoes with those of our Prime Minister.
The Honourable Navin Ramgoolam has beautiful and shiny shoes. The US President sports used shoes.
<joke>
I believe that the Mauritian Government should ship him some shoes (made in China, of course) as a gift.
</joke>
Anyway, the picture rocks!

A few friends and I had made up our minds to apply for the Common Wealth Scholarship. Most of us wanted to complete our Mphil/PhD.
